Betweens are sharp, thin hand sewing needles used to quilt or bind the quilt. They range in size from 8-12. The smaller the number, the longer the needle. Quilters prefer these needles because their short length allows you to make small stitches (as used in hand quilting) more quickly and easily than longer needles.
