A change of place: my new quilting room

Estimated reading time: 1 minute

Hello everyone! Just a quick post here to show my new quilting room. I hadn’t planned to move into my son’s room when he moved out, but after my husband suggested the switch (and after I measured and realized the room had more square feet) I decided to go for it.

It was a lot of crazy work right in the middle of a crazy time (the wedding is in three weeks!) but it was well worth the effort.

And it put all of my sewing room organization rules to the test and forced me to rethink the way I was set up.

One rule I broke was “store it where you use it.” I compromised with hubby and moved the rulers into my “craft closet” which is just on the other side of the wall where my cutting/ironing table sits. So, I have to walk a few extra steps now to get a ruler but I could definitely use the steps!

In the end, the result is a cleaner, fresher and more organized space that I think will help me be more productive in the future. Enjoy the photos and feel free to contact me if you have any questions.
