Design Attribution: Oldest attribution is Ladies Art Company, 1897

The Brickwork Quilt Block is often referred to as the Roman Cross Quilt Block or the Chicago Pavement Quilt Block in the United States. The name "Brickwork" is more common in the UK. Different colorings of the block are known as Washington's Sidewalk and the Four X or Red Cross Quilt Block.
