Skill level: Confident beginner

The Missouri Puzzle Quilt Block incorporates most of the "basic" patchwork units: the 9-patch, the rail fence, squares and half-square triangles. The units are arranged in a star design, and makes an excellent skill-building block for a beginner quilter.

The simplicity of the design also makes it strikingly modern when made with solid fabrics.
