The Road to Oklahoma is a simple four-patch design using squares and half square triangles. Depending on color placement and how you place the blocks you can end up with interesting star patterns.
In the grouping examples below, the first pattern is achieved when placing the blocks in straight sets. The second pattern is achieved when you turn every other block 90°. By making an additional 90° turn with your blocks, you can achieve the star layout shown in the third example of Road to Oklahoma Quilt block groupings.
