The Old Maid’s Puzzle Quilt Block is another design attributed to Nancy Cabot, circa 1933.

It is constructed using small squares and small and large half-square triangles.

Despite the design having been created many years ago, it can still translate well in modern designs. In the second grouping below, you can ses how rotating a few of these blocks can create a star within a star pattern, and gives the layout a very modern aesthetic.
